Abstract

A serious paradigmatic change occurred in the Turkish poetry of the 1980s, especially in the novel, and traditional features of the genre went through a process of transformation under the influence of social events. One of the famous authors of the new novel was Mehmet Eroglu. The novels by Mehmet Eroglu involved in the study such as “The Middle of Desolation”, “The Delayed Dead”, “The Walk Interrupted” and “The Man Who Forgot His Name” were based on the motifs of indifference to the person, alienation and loneliness. In the article have been studied the reflection of problem of alienation in the novels by Mehmet Eroglu.
