Abstract

Abay Kunanbayev is the founder and first realist poet of the Kazakh modern literature of XIX century. Abay Kunanbayev gained fame in Kazakh literature as a prosaist with his work – “Black words” (“Words of edification”) written in the form of exhortations. In this work the author reflected his thoughts on the lifetime of the nation he belongs. The article focuses on the main sociopolitical problems and analyzes the features characteristic of his subordination, more attention is paid to education, science and social problems. These problems are expressed in the context of Kazakh social views of the XIX century and the Kazakh environment.
