Ruler and time in novel “Amir Teymur” by Yunus Oghuz

Abstract

The image of Amir Teymur is widely developed in Azerbaijani literature. Amir Teymur is presented as “all Turkic khagan” in Yunus Oghuz’s two part novel “Amir Teymur”. The image of Amir Teymur created by Yunus Oguz arouses the reader’s sympathy not only as a ruler but also as a human being. One of the characteristic features of Yunus Oguz’s novel is that the writer, while remaining faithful to the historical truth and historical facts, first of all pays attention to the reader. As in other novels of writer, in the novel “Amir Teymur” the dynamism of the image can tune the reader to the historical aura.
